The Band Members
Franswa – Lead Singer / Rythym Guitar
At young age fell in love with the music of Bob Marley and started to sing in his local community outside Makhanda/Grahamstown. He is the band manager and lead singer of The Survivals Band.
Bevan – Drummer
A multi-talented musician and a man of little words. His words come out in the instruments he can play.
Maxine – Bassist
Started at the age 0f 14, grew up with the bass and now the youngest member of the group.
Siya – Saxaphone
First half of the twins, listened to Kenny G and fell in love with the sax, enjoys playing soul and reggae.
Vulelani – Pianist
Plays bass as a side and mostly jams with his twin brother on their off time.
Devon – Keyboardist
Devon was influenced by his brother Bevan to join the group and is the one who brings the laughs to the band.
Stefan – Bass / Drums
Started on drums at 10, moved to the bass guitar when he was 15 and now he fills in with steel drums for the band.
